Mr. Haliwanger, ran HHS with an Iron Fist, I only spoke to him one on one in school, but did after me and Jimmie Cox ran into him after a baseball game on Park street late on afternoon on our way back to Jim's House on Madison Ave at the time, We started talking having a great time with the Man(aka)Prong who everyone in school was scared to death of!, We walked right by Jim's house until Mr. Haliwanger stopped at his house and said nice talking with you guy's about Ole Hamlet High School, the both of us said the same thing at the same time, that is one of the nicest man I've ever talked with, wish I had done it in High school. My brother Robbie Hassler RIP told me once that His Strap would break the speed of sound before it hit your bottom Mrs.''Stonewall Jackson'' our 8th grade teacher took many a student to only the water fountain in the hall right before you got to his office door and said I'll give you one more chance and walk them back to our room
